ONLINE TOURNAMENTS

MY MAIN AIM FOR THE ONLINE TOURNAMENTS IS TO MAKE THEM AS POPULAR AS THE LIVE CHARITY TOURNAMENTS WITH THE MEMBERS OF NORTHERN POKER STARS.

Our private, password protected, cash game table, (with blinds of $0.25/$0.50) is already open and this is exclusive to Northern Poker Stars members that have downloaded the BlackBeltPoker software via one of the many links featured on this website. BlackBeltPoker will also host special one off online tournaments for seats to our major live tournaments and of course our fantastic new online league.

Northern Poker Stars are holding a $7.50 Double Chance Online Tournament every fortnight of 2012 as we search for the Northern Poker Stars Online Tournament Player of the Year. The tournaments will be held on a Monday evening @ 7:30pm. The tournament will be password protected and I will send everyone the password via email or sms 48 hours before the tournament starts.  To be eligible to play in these tournaments, you must be members of Northern Poker Stars and you must have downloaded the BlackBeltPoker software via one of the many links on this website.  You are then an affiliate of NPS and are eligible to play in the NPS Online Tournaments.  Please note, that even though you as a player are affiliated to NPS, you are still eligible for all player rewards offered by BlackBeltPoker.  Anyone that is already a member of BlackBeltPoker and wishes to play in the NPS Online Tournaments, contact me ASAP.

There will be a new scoring system in place for 2012 and points will be awrded in relation to your finishing position, for example:

If a player finishes 40th they will be awarded 40 points.
If a player finishes 22nd they will be awarded 22 points.
If a player finishes 11th they will be awarded 11 points.

Final Table scoring is as follows:

10th place = 9 points
9th place = 8points
8th place = 7 points
7th place = 6 points
6th place = 5 points
5th place = 4 points
4th place = 3 points
3rd place = 1 point
2nd place = -1 point
1st place = -3 points

Any player that misses any tournament, will be awarded the maximum number + 1 points for that tournament. For example a player misses event 2 which has 34 runners; the player is awarded 35points for missing the event.

All players can also drop their 6 worst scores. There will be 25 online tournaments during 2012 and only your best 19 results will count. This means that players that work shifts or miss an event because of holiday's can remain in contention for the title. Add this to the negative scoring for a win or second place finish and this will make for a much tighter league throughout 2012.

Our 2012 Northern Poker Stars Online Player of the Year will be the player with the lowest score after dropping their 6 worst score after our 25th online tournament on 10th December 2012.

BLACKBELTPOKER HAVE AWARDED OUR 2012 ONLINE LEAGUE 3 x BLACKBELT LIVE SEATS. ONE WILL BE AWARDED TO THE LEAGUE WINNER, WITH THE OTHER TWO BEING AWARDED TO THE HIGHEST PLACED ORANGE BELTS.

The online tournaments will bring together players from all areas that are members of Northern Poker Stars.  An added bonus is that you will always get another chance to repay somebody for a bad beat, either at one of the online tournaments, or at a live tournament.  Your poker funds are staying within the Northern Poker Stars community and not disappearing into the Scandinavian economy.
