For players who enjoy the thrill of Live Games, Northern Poker Stars host regular Multi-Table Tournaments. These events are held at The Ukrainian Club, Carlisle. These tournaments are fun, friendly, professionally organised and run events that are designed to bring together poker players of all standards, from beginners to the more experienced. There is an admission charge of £3 per player at each event. This will be donated to CFM Radio "Cash For Kids" Appeal. Whilst honing your poker skills, you the players, are raising much-needed funds for a FANTASTIC charity. The entry fee is £30 per player (if bought or reserved 48 hours before the event starts) and this makes up the prize pool. Ticket sales cease 48 hours before the event and any remaining seats will be available on the day for £40. The grand total of the entry fees make up the initial prize pool. For example 50 players generates a £1500 prize pool, & 75 players generates a £2225 prize pool. This increases as players rebuy or add-on. All of this is paid out to the top 10% of players on a sliding scale, with the winner picking up the largest share. For the first 90 minutes of each tournament, 1 rebuy is available to all players. For £30, if the player so wishes, he / she can purchase an additional 5000 chips (starting stack is 3000). If a player does not have a rebuy, then at the break, that player can have 1 add-on for £30. NO PLAYER IS UNDER ANY OBLIGATION TO REBUY OR ADD-ON AT ANY NORTHERN POKER STARS TOURNAMENTS. A PLAYER IS FREE TO LEAVE THE TOURNAMENT UPON LOSING ALL OF THEIR STARTING CHIPS AND WILL NOT BE ASKED TO PURCHASE MORE CHIPS TO REMAIN IN THE EVENT. Telephone: 07860697204 (Ken) or 07515912959 (Paul) At these events you, the players, will sit down at casino standard tables. You will have in front of you excellent quality chips. You will be dealt the highest quality cards, by trained Dealers and will have in view at all times the current, and the next blind structures as well as the total payout to each placed finisher. A dedicated Tournament Director, will oversee the entire event. And if you think that things couldn’t get any better, we also provide Waitress Service so that your refreshments can be brought to you at the table, allowing you to concentrate on your game! To enable me to provide you with the excellent staff, that supports me, I need the co-operation of the players. Most of my staff have commitments and need to know in advance if they are required to work at the tournaments. I base my staffing levels on the number of tickets sold or reserved 48 hours before an event is scheduled. Therefore any person that reserves a ticket and fails to turn up at the event is liable to pay the full cost of that ticket, unless I am given a minimum of 48 hours notice. If that person fails to pay the £30, I will remove that players benefit to reserve a seat or even refuse entry to all Northern Poker Stars events until the debt is settled. If a player has paid for a ticket in advance and gives me 48 hours notice that he or she cannot attend, I will issue a full refund. Any player that has paid in advance and fails to show at the tournament will have their entry fee added to the prize pool. IMPORTANT INFORMATION All players MUST be members of The Ukrainian Club as well as Northern Poker Stars. Membership of The Ukrainian Club is £4 per year and must be completed at least 48 hours in advance of the tournament. Membership of Northern Poker Stars is free and can be completed on the day of the tournament. Any player that we feel is not of the legal age, must have proof of his or her date of birth, i.e. Driving License or Passport. Failure to provide such will result in a membership application being refused. All forms of foul or abusive language will not be tolerated and will result initially in a ten-minute ban from the table and expulsion from the tournament if the player continues to re-offend. All violent conduct will be reported to the police. Excessive drinking is not allowed at the tournaments. Please condone yourself in a respectable manner and have consideration for others. Northern Poker Stars equipment is not available for use to any player unless they are active in the charity tournament. Hence cash tables are not something that we will support or allow. Please remember that we are raising funds for charity. We do not want players to lose money that they cannot afford. If we feel that a player is excessively spending money at our tournaments, that they cannot afford, then we reserve the right to refuse any player entry to the tournaments. If you feel that you have a problem with gambling, then please seek help. Any of the above could result in a person being banned from future Northern Poker Star events. |
